|Abstract:||Training and development, bridge the gap between employees’ required and current performance, improving their skills and competencies, helping companies gain competitive advantage in a constantly changing environment. The purpose of this study is to examine the training and development methods that banks in Greece use in order to enhance employees’ performance, and also to try to assess the effectiveness of these methods from the employees’ point of view. Apart from analyzing the theoretical framework of employee training and development, a survey research was also conducted in a Greek bank.|
